Individual Therapy for Colorado Women
You don't have to have it all figured out.

Life can change in ways you expected, and in ways you didn't. A new career, a relationship, motherhood, early adulthood, or simply realizing that the life you built doesn't quite feel like the right fit anymore can leave you questioning what comes next.

At Oak and Ivy Counseling, I help women slow down, get clear, and reconnect with themselves through the seasons of life that can leave you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure.

Whether you're navigating a major transition, struggling with anxiety and overthinking, adjusting to motherhood, or trying to figure out your next career move, therapy can give you a place to pause and listen to yourself again.

You don't need to know exactly what you need before reaching out.
Support for the Season You Are In
You may not have a diagnosis or a crisis.

Maybe you simply feel different.
Something has shifted, and you're not quite sure how to navigate it.

You're questioning yourself, overthinking your decisions, feeling stretched thin, or wondering whether the path you're on still fits.
These are the seasons where therapy can help you slow down, understand what's happening, and figure out what comes next.

How I Can Support You
When life changes, you may change too.

Major transitions can affect your identity, relationships, routines, confidence, and sense of direction.

You may be entering adulthood, graduating from college, starting a new career, navigating a relationship change, becoming a parent, or simply realizing that the life you once wanted isn't necessarily the life you want now.

You don't have to rush to figure out who you're becoming.
Therapy can give you space to slow down, process what's changing, reconnect with yourself, and decide what you want your next chapter to look like.

You might be navigating:
-
Entering adulthood
-
Life after college
-
Career or relationship changes
-
Major decisions
-
Identity shifts
-
Moving or starting over
-
Feeling behind or unsure about what's next

You can love motherhood and still feel overwhelmed.

Pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood can bring enormous changes to your identity, relationships, routines, and sense of self.

You may love your children deeply while also missing parts of who you were before becoming a mom.

You may feel pressure to do everything well, carry the mental load, or somehow balance being a mother with being a whole person.

Therapy offers a place to talk honestly about the parts of motherhood that don't always get talked about.

Together, we can make space for your needs, your identity, your relationships, and the person you're continuing to become.

You might be navigating:
-
Pregnancy and emotional changes
-
Postpartum adjustment
-
Motherhood identity shifts
-
Mental load and overwhelm
-
Balancing career and family
-
Parenting anxiety
-
Boundaries and asking for help
-
Feeling like you've lost yourself

When your mind won't stop asking, "What if?"

You may spend hours thinking through every possible outcome, replaying conversations, asking others for reassurance, or wondering whether you've made the right choice.

Overthinking can make even simple decisions feel exhausting.

Therapy can help you understand the patterns underneath your anxiety, develop tools for managing stress, and build greater trust in your ability to navigate uncertainty.
The goal isn't to eliminate every anxious thought.
It's to help you feel less controlled by them.

You might be struggling with:
-
Constant overthinking
-
Decision-making anxiety
-
Reassurance seeking
-
Perfectionism
-
Stress and overwhelm
-
Fear of making the wrong choice
-
Difficulty slowing down

What if the path you're on doesn't feel
like yours anymore?

Your career can become a source of uncertainty when your priorities change.

Maybe you're considering a career change. Maybe you're burned out. Maybe you've accomplished what you thought you wanted and still don't feel fulfilled.

Or maybe you're simply asking:
"What do I actually want?"

Therapy can help you separate your own wants and values from expectations, comparison, and the pressure to choose the "right" path.

You don't have to figure out your entire future.
We can start by getting clear about what matters now.

You might be navigating:
-
Career uncertainty
-
Burnout and stress
-
Career transitions
-
Finding direction
-
Major career decisions
-
Work-life balance
-
Questions about purpose
-
Feeling stuck professionally

What Do These Seasons Have in Common?
Although life transitions, anxiety, motherhood, and career uncertainty can look different on the surface, they often bring up the same deeper questions:

Who am I now?

What do I actually want?

What if I make the wrong choice?

Am I behind?

Can I trust myself?

That's where my work comes together.
I help women create space to answer those questions without rushing toward certainty.
Because you don't need to have the whole path figured out to take the next step.
My Approach to Therapy
Therapy with me is warm, collaborative, and practical.

I don't believe my job is to tell you what to do with your life.
You're the expert on your own experience.
Instead, I'll help you slow down, notice what's happening beneath the surface, challenge patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and reconnect with what matters to you.
My approach draws from strengths-based counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and a coaching-forward, growth-oriented perspective.
We'll focus on meaningful progress rather than perfection.
Sometimes that means learning to manage anxiety.
Sometimes it means setting a boundary.
Sometimes it means making a decision you've been avoiding.
And sometimes it means giving yourself permission to take your time.
You Don't Need to Wait Until Things Feel "Bad Enough"
You don't have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy.

Maybe you're functioning, but you're exhausted.
Maybe you're successful, but unsure whether you're happy.
Maybe you know something needs to change, but you don't know what.
Maybe you simply want a place to think out loud without someone telling you what you should do.
Therapy can be useful in the messy middle, too.
You deserve support while you're figuring things out, not only after you've reached your breaking point.

Start Where You Are

You don't need a perfect explanation or a clearly defined therapy goal. We'll start with what's happening in your life right now.

Slow Down and Get Clear

We'll explore what's underneath the overwhelm, self-doubt, anxiety, or uncertainty and make space for what you actually want.

Build Self Trust &
Move Forward
We'll identify meaningful, realistic next steps so you can move forward with greater confidence, even when you don't have complete certainty.
Find Support For What's Next
You don't have to know exactly which service you need before reaching out.
If you're navigating change and wondering what comes next, we can start with a conversation.

During a free consultation, we'll talk about what you're experiencing, what you're hoping for, and whether Oak and Ivy Counseling feels like the right fit.
